Mahabharat now a 6-hr long film

Mahabharat now a 6-hr long film

B.R.Films have announced to make a whooping 6-hour long film on the great epic Mahabharat. Abhay Chopra confirms that it will be a movie with the longest duration in Indian film history. The movie is slated to have a huge budget of 100 Crores, which is again a maximum for any bollywood flick so far. B.R.Films have decided to release the movie in two parts, the second part releasing in the consecutive week after the release of the first part. It is expected that a huge starcast of Bollywood biggies will be chosen. The starcast is yet to be finalised by the banner.

B.R. Films are credited with the huge success of the same epic in a televised version. The TV serial Mahabharat was a tremendous success in the TV history of India and made a world-wide audience ground. The expectations with this movie are bound to be sky-high.

In the same league, Rajkumar Santoshi has announced another Indian mythological epic Ramayan to be adapted on-screen. It seems big film-makers are slowly taking the spiritual turn to make their financial profiits. How successful they’ll be, let’s wait ‘n’ watch.
