Mahima: Her Only Hope

Since Mahima Chaudhary says she can’t bank on ex-beau Leander Paes anymore, she is banking rather heavily on director Tanuja Chandra, who has given her the role of her career in Filmstar.

Mahima plays a has-been filmstar who needs a hit to get back into the game. She learns about a woman convicted for her husband’s murder but when she plans to make a film on the subject, she uncovers the hidden truth.

The movie looks like a spoof in the beginning because they show an actress used to adulation and then suddenly losing it all. How is she going to react? They have tried to highlight the fact that how stars feel when they loose the spotlight. Some think that they won’t exist once the attention they receive is taken away from them and to what extent they go to get it back.
