The film “Khoon Toh Hona Hi Tha” is a comedy thriller directed by Sai Paranjpe, known for her hit comedy film “Chashme Buddoor”. The story of the film is about a film scriptwriter who is sent by the director of the film to a hill station to finish the script in a peaceful environment. The writer reaches the empty hotel on the hill top in off-season to be free of all disturbances. But the happiness of the writer doesn’t stay for long as many people start getting into the hotel.

The people are of different types, a couple on honeymoons, a businessman who is married to a girl less than half his age, a lonely mistress in her later ages, a painter and many others different characters join the writer in the same hotel on the hill top. Then one after other, many incidents takes place and the businessman gets killed. Then starts the thrill part of the film.

In the film Mita Vashuist is playing the role of a cabaret dancer in her late thirties. Paranjape will be directing films almost after 11 years of gap and the director informed about the film while participating in the Indian competition category at the 10th Osian’s-Cinefan Film Festival of Asian and Arab cinema.

Paranjape is the recipient of award like Padma Bhushan and National awards for her contribution to social life and cinema and she expected that the film will be completed and ready to release by the year 2009 .By the time she is also working on another script called Kisse’ ,a film based on AIDS.
