Gahraee unfolds a murder mystery of a young girl who had a sudden death. It is the remake of a hit classic Hindi movie Teesri Manzil (1966) and stars Ishaa Koppikar and newcomer Niketan Dheer (Pankaj Dheer son) in the roles of Asha Parekh and Shammi Kapoor - the main leads in the original. Khushi plays female protagonist’s murdered sister Rupa and Prem Chopra’s part is essayed by Mukesh Rishi; Rakhi Sawant will be dancer Jenny (Helen role). Since Gahraee (meaning depth) has two hot items girls Isha and Rakhi, it goes without a doubt that the film will have some great numbers on which they will swivel their sexy body.

Story:
Gahraee is the deep dark secret behind a murderous night in the hills of Manali. A beautiful girl named Roma (Khushi) falls to her death from her room in the Grand Palace Hotel. The case of this mysterious death has been handed over to the CBI for investigation. Roma’s family is shocked to hear the news and her sister Nisha (Isha Koppikar) is left numb and can’t understand what went wrong. She decides to find out why her sister had to face such a death.

Nisha leaves for Simla - where her sister was murdered, in search of what happened that night. On her way, she meets Vijay (Nikitin Dheer) who introduces himself as a CBI officer. Nisha tells him about that mysterious night, and Vijay offers to help her with the case. Nisha leads him to the family home where Vijay finds interesting evidence in Roma’s room, which he does not disclose to Nisha. What could be the reason? In the midst of their efforts to unravel the mystery, Vijay and Nisha fall in love and are planning to get married.

But at that very moment, Nisha’s father Baldev (Kiran Kumar) suffers from a massive heart attack and passes away. This opens up a whole new chapter to the story as now that Baldev is dead and Nisha has inherited a huge amount. CBI gets interested in this new development. Just when they felt they have solved the mystery this new clue change everything. Now, their list of suspects has one more name Nisha!
