The story of the movie One Fine Monday can be said to be similar to the movies like Munna Bhai MBBS or Don Mithuswami (which has Mithun Chakraborty in the lead role and movie is still not released) in the terms of its depiction of a underworld criminal trying to adopt a life different from his own.

The movie has an infamous don Shyamrao Sawant in the lead role played by Shekhar Suman who wants to change the course of his life by adopting the general ways of living and renouncing his criminal ways.

This movie an be said to be another attempt by Shekhar Suman to perform in a Bollywood movie after doing the movies like Utsav and other 30 other movies mostly playing small roles. Shekhar Suman got more fame on the snall screen when he judged and hosted comedy shows on the small screen and the best of all of his shows has been the The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.

The story of the movie is of Sawant who plans to leave his illegal activities and start adopting normal living trends. Sawant get to meet his pregnant sister for helping her out of her problems and to find out about a cheating accountant .He has a high temper wife and there are many other characters like a scholar and another sister of Sawant who meet him.

The movie is a comedy that grows as the situations turn out to be intermingled.
