The film “Zor Lagaa Ke… Haiyaa” has many characters: Raavan – is a man who is always thinking of his past love and he loves to stay alone. Bakshi is money minded builder who gets his work done at any cost and he mostly talks of Mother Nature. Gupta is a contractor whose experience and brains do not help him at the time of need. Chamki loves Gupta and she works on construction site as laborer. Aai is also a worker on construction site.

A middle class man Vivek is always complaining of things without making any efforts to change it. Asthana is a rich man who wants to invest in buying properties and houses. There are kids in the movie named Laddu, Ritesh, Priya and Karan. Laddu is a foodie, Ritesh is a smart little boy and the gang is headed by Karan. The little girl Priya is beauty conscious and a laborer boy Ram wants to be an architect and he does things to help his mother and brother.

The film story is about a gang of kids who save a tree. The street kids fight against the money minded builders and contractors and raise environmental issue amidst people of high education values. The film is about the fight on social issue, comedy and adventure.
