The film “Bachna Ae Haseeno” is benefited from being a Yash Raj Banner film that came up with no expectations or pre-conceptions from the audience and the love stories depicted in the film is akin to today’s metro youth’s real life stories who confront some or the other kind of non-serious love in various ages of their life but the film depicts it in a illusory manner.
The film could have been more expressive and stunning but the portrayal of lead pairs mismatched .The actors couldn’t get out the needed feelings from the script. Even the man in the centre, Ranbir, who looked really appealing, couldn’t portray himself to be at ease being a fiddle (His father was better, than he is).
The film script is about a young flirtatious man who experiences getting genuine love from girls in different phases of his life in different ages and he couldn’t consider them to be more than unintended meet up and he takes their emotions for granted .Then he meets somebody who breaks his heart and he feels pain in love.
The story starts as a boy Raj gets nostalgic and remembers his past — to flashback in Switzerland, a beautiful place; the first girl whom he met was Mahi. She really loved him but he did not find her to be his ultimate destination and they separated .Then after six years, Raj met another girl in his office as a grown up, in above 20s, in Mumbai (Microsoft) and third he met in Australia, for whom Raj is ready to do anything but she is not ready to soften for Raj.
The music of the film is choreographed well and the choreographer must have really worked hard to make these actors dance. The shoot locations are striking and the actresses are also looking gorgeous. The wardrobes and make-up of all the stars is made attractive.
The three love stories take a lot of time to be shown and the script has nothing more than the three stories. The script gets predictable but the audience waits to watch the depiction with no scope. Bips looked matured when compared to Ranbir but hers was best performance amongst the actresses, the other two ladies in the film are not that impressive. Chemistry of Deepika and Ranbir is not that fiery as expected.
The film will do average business as there are many holidays around the release days.
Rating: 5/10
