The film Haal-E-Dil looks to be made without planning and thought. The film has many mistakes in its making, selecting actors and scripts. The attractions of the film are its songs and shooting locations. The film lacks a script, lacks performance from actors and lacks symmetry in sequences shown on screen. Worst is that this film is a romantic triangle love story and it demands a lots of perfect emotions to be depicted on screen.

The story of the film is about three youngsters, (though the Gen X effect is not visible) who are into confused love stories. A girl Sanjana feels that love is sacred. Shekhar gets into love with every second girl he meets and when he meets Sanjana he thinks only this girl can change his existence. Rohit is in deep love with Sanjana and he finds it difficult to get out of his love. Sanjana has to take decision of which boy to choose and many incidents like a train journey, running in forest, throughout the film many sequences are shown though it is difficult to understand why the sequence was shown.

Director Anil Devgan is effective in capturing locales but lacks the ability to make the people in front of camera come out with performance.

The debutants actors Nakuul Mehta is below average, Adhyayan Suman did not get a chance to prove that he is worth doing films and Amita Pathak is not looking youthful. She has the personality that she is looking matured then her co-stars.

The film is difficult to be watched in theatres for complete three hours and the obvious box-office result for the film, will be below average.
