Movie Review: Thodi Life Thoda Magic

The film “Thodi Life Thoda Magic” is a dull movie where the audience does not find any life, any magic or any logic. The film has problems with direction and script. The mismatching sequences and uncommitted story line that is unanswered by the director makes the film -a confused project.

The story of the film is about Naina who is in relations with satellite channel head Roshan and Naina later joins Siddhartha who works on television shows. For the show Siddhartha needs an anchor and he selects MK who solves the problems of people and MK turns out to be famous with people of the town but later Siddhartha and Naina feel that the reputation of MK is getting misused. Then something comes out of the story that reveals that MK is suffering from some kind of health problem and he had been to mental asylum.

The film tries to show that people try to market everything in life and try to get money out of it and the free man like MK doesn’t understand that he is getting misused. Naina keeps crying at regular intervals of the movie for some or the other reason. To add to the confusion are the current stories mixed up with the flashbacks. When the story goes into a flashback and recovers is difficult to make out. The performance of the actors is average but none of the sequence is fully understandable and the title song has also been fixed at places in the film.

The film has many themes like it shows “magic can be brought into lives of people by experiencing happiness in small things “, the second theme is about “how a ordinary man gets exploited by money making minds “.The script is full of errors and the film has been directed implausibly to bring out nothing from the film but droning flashes.

Meera Vasudevan tries to act emotions by crying and Jackie Shroff should have been made to looks better. The performance of the film on the box-office will be below average.
