Munnabhai sequel causes tussle amid producer, director
A cold war is going on, on the sets of Munnabhai M.B.B.S sequel between producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and director Raj Kumar Hirani regarding the title of the film. While Chopra is adamant on the working title ‘Mahatma Versus Gandhi’, Hirani would prefer the more breezy title ‘Lage Raho’.
The sequel features the good old Munnabhai pair Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi with the banner’s favourite Vidya Balan. Though a large chunk of the film is ready, the makers are still undecided about what to call this eagerly awaited sequel.
“Hopefully”, says a member of the cast, “Vinod Chopra will see the logic of using ‘Lage Raho’ instead of his chosen title. Until then we can only keep our fingers crossed.”

Mahatma V/S Ghandhi, is some other movie. If at all, the second episode in the lives of Munna & Circuit was called, Munna Bhai meets Mahatma Gandhi (Munnabhai M.M.G.), which later was changed to Munna Bhai 2nd Innings, and finally post an opinion poll conducted across various cities and towns, they arrived at ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’.
As for the cold war on the sets between the director and the producer, I should believe for filmmakers of this calibre they’ve better things to do, making the film.
I’ve heard it’s awesome and is very likely to surpass the first Munna Bhai by miles. Can’t wait for ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’
