Music Review: Anjaana Anjaani

anjaani

The music of Anjaana Anjaani is one of the most waited albums because it has the so called hype as the maker of the movie claim it to be a musical of 2010.The music of the album is composed by Vishal and Shekar (who compose music only for safe zones) -

Anjaana Anjaani –For the title song Vishal Dadlani and Shilpa Rao come together .The song is ok with light beats and western style .The song has English lyrics and it gets fast in between music. The lyrics are meaningful. An electric mix version is also present in the album in the voice of Monali Thakur and Nikhil D’Souza , which is ok .The song has been presented on small screen .

Hairat : The Lucky Ali song is also a fast number with a heavy beats , as if the silky voice is loaded with drums sounds. The song is ok to hear not bad at all but may be the composers tried this one to deliver a new kind of combination. This one has a nice composition but the overall effect is average. The song is written by Vishal.

Aas Pass Khuda :The inspirational number “Aas Pass Khuda” is ok to hear but gets loud in between. The song is in voice of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and it is another average song of the album. An unplugged version is also present in the album in the voice of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shruti Pathak. This one is also written by Vishal Dadlani accompanied by Shekhar Ravjiani.

Tumse Hi Tumse : The song is in voice of Shekhar Ravjvani and Caralisa Monteiro and the song has no variation as the voices try to speak the song instead of singing and the music behind is ok — with a no variation kind of beatings. It should have been made in English instead of Hindi — the beats fit in for a English song. The song is written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and Anvita Dutt and the English lyrics are by Caralisa Monteiro.

Tujhe Bhula Diya : The song is in voice of Mohit Chauhan, Shekhar Rajvani and Shruthi Pathak .The song starts with a deep voice and Punjabi lyrics which are meaningful that is the barishaan (- the effect of rains on couples who are not together ) .This one is one of the best of all. The song has another version called the “dance to forget “in the voice of Mohit Chauhan, Shekhar Ravjiani and Shruti. The song is written by Kumaar and Vishal Dadlani.

I Feel Excellent :The song is strictly ok in the voice of Vishal Dadlani and Shilpa Rao and it is written by Vishal. It is again the electric guitar sound and the regular beats.

Throughout the album the composers use rock music and western kind of beats to make it youthful club kind of number without using variation in music in a genuine way and you don’t get in-depth lyrics except the Tujhe Bhula Diya,Aas Paas and the title song.
