Music Review: Bachna Ae Haseeno

The music of the film “Bachna Ae Haseeno” is composed by Vishal - Shekhar and the music will be distributed by Yash Raj Banner. The film will be another movie from the Yash Raj Banner that will try to renew its status and get a hit in the year. The best song of the album is the R.D. Burman’s composed title song in the voice of Kishore Kumar and his son Sumit Kumar, having inputs from Vishal – Shekhar.
‘Khuda Jaane’-The song has been sung by Krishna Kumar Menon and Shilpa Rao and the film will show Deepika and Ranbir romancing on the song. The song has been picturised in different locations in Italy. The song is average but the romance between the lead stars looks very real. A remix version of the song is also present later in the album called “Khuda Jaane Revisited” and the remix version has additional beats. Overall the slow song has been made fast in the remixed version of the song.
‘Lucky Boy’-The song ‘Lucky Boy’ is in the voice of Sunidhi Chauhan, Hard Kaur and Raja Hasan .The song shows pair Ranbir Kapoor and Bipasha Basu onscreen. The song has the Punjabi lyrics and sounds. Bipasha looks glamorous in the song and the song is just another average one in the album.
‘Aahista Aahista’-The singers Lucky Ali and Shreya Ghoshal get together for the song and the lead pair appearing in the song are Ranbir Kapoor and Minissha Lamba. The voices of the lead singers are incomparable as Shreya excels in singing. The song has been shot in shot in Switzerland with Ranbir and Minissha.
‘Jogi Mahi’ -The song is in the voice of Sukhwinder Singh, Shekhar Ravjiani and Himani Kapoor. The punbaji lyrics are meaningful and effective. The song has been composed by Shekhar Ravjiani and the dholak sound makes it feel to be from rural Punjab. Ranbir looks impressive in the song.
‘Small Town Girl’-The song is in the voice of Shankar Mahadevan and it is the song in which Ranbir is chasing Bipasha. The song is another average one of the album.
‘Bachna Ae Haseeno ‘-The title song of the album is from the film “Hum Kissi Se Kam Nahin” and as it plays ,you can imagine Rishi and compare him to Ranbir .A remixed version of the previous song in the voices of Kishore Kumar, Sumit Kumar and Vishal Dadlani can be heard. The energy in the song is high and lyrics are extremely impressive. A brilliant song in which Sumit sings with his departed father .It makes you worry “why people can’t make music like Panchamda that is fresh even after more than 30 years.”
The title song of the album gains attention whenever it is played.
Rating: 5/10
