Music Review: Haal-E-Dil

The music of the film Haal-E-Dil, has been composed by Vishal Bharadwaj who took the help of best composers of industry, Pritam Chakraborty, Anand Raj Anand and Raghav Sachar, to give their songs to the album .Haal-E-Dil is the movie through which the daughter of producer Kumar Mangat will debut. It is expected that the composers must have worked hard for the music and the producer will market the product well.

‘Haal-e-Dil’(Title) –The lyrics of the song is fresh romantic written by Munna Dhiman and the voice of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shreya Ghoshal enhances the sweetness of the song. The Sufi sound with the folky touch is good to hear.

‘Haal-e-Dil’(Remix) –The remix version of the title song has been sung by Rekha Bharadwaj and the song is impressive even though it is low in background beats.

‘Agg Lage Aaj Kal De Fashion Nu’- Without a Punjabi beat ,the albums don’t reach charts and therefore the singers Labh Januja and Hard Kaur get together to sing for this Punjabi Bhangra song. The songs make one dance with the beats. The rustic voice makes the song regional. The lyrics also are marked for the presence of English words.

‘Khawaish’- Raghav Sachar composes this song and Shaan and Sunidhi Chauhan get together to sing for this romantic love song that has predominant violin sound and is average in outcome.

‘Rang’ –The voice of Sonu Nugam can be heard in this one, the music is full of electronic sounds and the same song is in remix version that is full of disco beats .The song has been composed by Raghav Sachar who sings the remixed version of this song. This one is party romantic basically a love song with beats. The song has been written by Aditya Dhar.

‘Jeeta Hoon’- The piano, violin sounds and the melancholy of love is the theme of the song ‘Jeeta Hoon’ that has been sung by Sonu Nigam and written by Sameer and the song good to hear .The music of the song has been composed by Anand Raj Anand.

‘Rani’ –This song has been sung by Sonu Nigam and the song is average love song. The song has been composed by Anand Raj Anand.

‘Oye Hoye’- The song has been written by Sameer and composed by Anand Raj Anand and the song has been sung by Udit Narayan and it is a romantic entertaining song that is good to hear in the voice of Udit Narayan.

There are a few good songs in the album and there are 4 composers and 4 lyricists for the songs but much variety is not heard.
