Music Review: Kal Kisne Dekha

Sajid Wajid have composed the music of the film “Kal Kisne Dekha “through which Jackky Bhagnani has to debut.

“Aalam Guzarne Ko”– Sonu Nigam’s voice on the sweet romantic number “Aalam Guzarne Ko” is lovely and he is joined by Suzy Q’s western mumble in between. The song composed by Sajid Wajid has soft instrument sounds and meaningful lyrics.

‘’Soniye Billori'’ – The high beat tease number “Soniye Billori” is a burly number in the voice of Sonu Nigam and he is again joined by Suzy Q. The bhangra beats and lyrics are not very fresh to hear but the lyrics are meaningful and in Hindi also. There is also a remixed version of the song in the album. The DJ number is impressive.

‘’Aasman Jhuk Gaya'’- Shaan gets back behind mike for ‘‘Aasman Jhuk Gaya'’ and he is joined by Shreya Ghosal as the song is similar to one of the many popular songs having theme of road of life and love. Sameer’s lyrics are impressive and music is not very new.

‘’Jashn Hai Josh Hai'’ – The song is similar to “Mehbooba” of “Sholay” and the similarity mostly prevails in the use of instrumentation and music composition. There is not much difference in the new song as compared to previous year’s less popular gypsy songs. The song is in voice of Alisha Chinai, Neeraj Sridhar and Wajid.

“Tere Bina Lagta Nahin” – The intense song is in voice of Wajid and the theme of the song is a lonely lover missing his partner. The tone of the song is sad and it is ok to hear.

‘’Bin Tere Mar Javan Mein'’ – The song starts with tabla beats and it uses mostly Indian instruments in compostion. ‘’Bin Tere Mar Javan Mein'’ is composed in the style of 80’s songs. The classical instruments and voice of Shreya Ghoshal makes the song melodious.

‘’Kal Kissne Dekha'’ – The title song is a high beat number having rap sounds and Sajid Wajid have taken Shaan as the lead singer who makes it appear youthful and energetic. Shreya Ghosal is also present for small portions and the song has mostly rap high beat sounds. There is also a club remixed version that has disco beats and it is kind of romantic version of the song.

The songs of the album are less energetic numbers (except one or two) and it may find it difficult to catch audience as most of the songs are not new in composition.
