Music Review: Sunday

The movie Sunday is about re-investing a Sunday and the movie looks to be inspired from some Hollywood concept. The movie made by Rohit Shetty Sunday stars Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Ayesha Takia, Irrfan Khan, and Anjana Sukhani in the lead roles and the music of the movie has been made by Sandeep Chowta, Suroor, Daler Mehandi, Shibani Kashyap, Raghav Sachar and Amar Mohile.

‘Missing Sunday’ – The beating of the song are rap kind and the song has been sung by Mahua Kamath (who sung with the ex-VIVA girl group) and Suraj and two are together in the song by Sandeep Chowta. The lyrics are of Farhad Sajid. The song is western rap kind of a good different song.

‘Missing Sunday’ (Remix version )- The remix version of the song is further impressive and has a style of its own that makes the listener feel good about the song. The choreography of the song has also been made into a western pattern and is just great to see in the video.

‘Pyar To Hona Hi Hai’ –The Pakistani music come along in the music of the song ‘Pyar To Hona Hi Hai’ that is written and sung by Kamran Bari and Mohammed Ali. The song is just a wonderful one in the album giving a distinct Pakistani note to it. This one is a soft romantic song.

‘Pyar To Hona Hi Hai’ (Remix version)-The added beats in the remix version do not disturb the feel of the song but the original is still better than the remix version.

‘Loot Liya’ – The masala fun song ‘Loot Liya’ is again a song that is completely different from the previous songs of the album and the association of Daler Mehandi to the song makes is more catchy. Sunidhi Chauhan pairs up with Daler Mehandi to make it a funky enjoying dance song.

Kashmakash –The singer Shibani Kashyap and lyricist Virag Mishra gets associated to make an effective track that is expected to be choreographed on Esha Deol that goes like a suspense track. The song looks to be a situational number and is a kind of curious song.

Kashmakash (Remix version) - The remix version has been done by DJ Suketu and is fun filled exciting song.

‘Manzar’ – The 4 minutes song written by Aditya Dhar and composed by Raghav Sachar has western and Indian tunes mixed together to get a high beat song.

‘Sunday - Theme’ –The theme is western theme kind of song .The theme has fun of Bhangra and also some integrated paced serious notes. Overall an entertaining theme song of the movie.

The album Sunday has man varieties of songs and the outcome is enjoyable. The best songs of the album are ‘Pyar To Hona Hi Hai’ and Title song. The other songs like ‘Kashmaksh’, ‘Loot Liya’ and ‘Manzar’ are also enjoying.
