Music Review: Ugly Aur Pagli

The music of the film “Ugly Aur Pagli” has been composed by Anu Malik and most of the songs in the album are party songs having fun added to them (like the film “Pyar Ke side Effects .“)

‘Talli’ –The theme of the song is about a girl getting drunk in a party .The song has been sung by daughter of Anu Malik ,Anmol Malik and Mika .Hard Kaur’s rendition is also present . Punjabi beats and lots of fun ingredients have been added to the song to make it enjoyable to hear it.

‘Talli’ - Another version of the song is present in the album and the Remix version has additional bhangra beats. The club remix version has been sung by Anu Malik along with Hard Kaur.

‘Karle Gunaah Ankhiya Milake Dil Isqe’- Anushka Manchandani’s shrill voice and Ishq Bector’s energetic voice makes the arrangements in the song worth to be noticed. The song has the bhangra effect and the fun part is prevalent throughout the song. There are three versions of the song.

‘Karle Gunaah’(club remix) –One of the remix version of the song has been done by DJ Amyth and this is best of the three versions of the song for the presence of high beats and energy.

‘Karle Gunaah’(male version) –Another version of the song has Krishna’s vocals and it is like a male version of the song.

‘Yeh Nazar’ - Sunidhi Chauhan and Shaan come together for the song and this one is another light mood romantic fun song.

‘Shut up, Aa Nachle’- The song looks inspired from Alisha’s ‘Shut up N Kiss Me’ .The song has beats for dance floors and voice is of Vasundhara .The songs has beats like carnival songs in the end part.

‘Yaad Teri Aaye’ –This song is beautiful for the way the song narrates emotions and romance .The song is sensitive with the instruments music enhancing its refinement. The lyrics are brilliant.

Anu Malik has filled the album with fun songs and the added advantage is the emotional song ‘Yaad Teri Aaye’.
