Nana Patekar endorses products for farmers

While other actors are selling everything from bikes to beauty products Nana Patekar is endorsing cotton seeds. The actor himself volunteered to promote these high-yield seeds in the hope that they would boost crops and bring sunshine into the lives of these farmers who for the last so many years are reeling under government indifference.

Nana is a man of the soil himself and whenever he can steal the time takes off to his farm miles away from Pune and all civilisation. The hut he parks himself in has no electricity and a cow dung floor. Water has to be pulled up from the well nearby and all vegetables are grown in the farm itself. It’s his taste for this spartan life that makes Nana sensitive to the woes of our kisan.
