Oye-Bubbly is a big hit

While it is a fact that just a few film albums have worked wonders at music stores in 2005, there is one non-film song (and resultantly the Universal album of which it is a part) that has become immensely popular .

Vishal-Shekhar’s ‘Oye Bubbly‘ song for the ‘Pepsi’ commercial seems to be on every youngster’s lips. Unlike other jingles, this one is a complete song and has been picturised on Amitabh Bachchan and Preity Zinta.

The ‘Pepsi’ commercial (with one part of the above song), shot on Shah Rukh Khan is a craze these days.

Interestingly, ever since the ‘’Oye Bubbly’ ad went on air, there have been baseless rumors circulating that it was written not just to promote ‘Pepsi’ but also Yash Chopra’s ‘Bunty Aur Babli’.

The ironical part of the whole episode is that ‘Oye Bubbly’ has managed to upstage the audio of ‘Bunty Aur Babli‘ at almost all the sales counters across India.
