Padosan’s “ Bindoo” to be played by Katrina Kaif!

The comedy film “Padosan” that was released in 70’s decade had a famous song of the Kishore Kuamr film “Meri Pyari Bindoo …” and the role of Bindoo was played by Saira Bano in the film, who had the so called western looks amidst the set of actresses then in bollywood. Saira had stayed outside India and when she came in movies, she instead of looking Indian she looked western.

Saira Bano well suited the roles of Indian - English girl in the Manoj Kumar film “Poorab Aur Pashchim.” A remake of the film “Padosan” is under consideration. The role of Sunil Dutt will be played by son Sanjay Dutt who can easily slip into his father’s role and the role of Saira Bano is expected to be given to Katrina Kaif.

The role of “Guru” or Kishore Kumar is expected to be offered to Riteish Deshmukh and Paresh Rawal may be signed to do the role of Mehmood. If the set of actors gets finalized for the role, it may be easy for Sanjay to do his father’s performance, Katrina to do Saira Bano’s role and even Paresh Rawal may succeed in doing the Mehmood’s role but the role of Kishore Kumar can be a tough task for Riteish because being Kishore Kumar is not easy to copy.

The film is under plan and it will be directed by Neeraj Vohra and the film may be made for the banner Sanjay Dutt Productions and film may go on floors in the next year. In the season of remakes, the film that has better stuff’s than the previous movies can only sustain. The film “Padosan” had attractive music of Kishore Kumar along with the timed comedy series by the lead actors and the remake should have the music to be competitive to the original film.
