Prithviraj-Samyukta starring Aishwarya rai scrapped

Raj Kumar Santoshi’s much talked about historical project ‘Prithviraj-Samyukta’, starring Ajay Devgan and Aishwarya Rai has been postponed indefinitely .

According to Santoshi himself, “I am working on the project and I guess I’ll make that someday.” For now he is busy with the Akshay-Amitabh starrer ‘Family’, which is 50 percent ready and after that he will move on to his next ‘Samna’ which as Santoshi says “is a hard-hitting, intense soul searching exercise with a social conscience.”

But according to our Bombay based sources, no producer was willing to back the 25 crore to 30 crore project, something that Santoshi accepted reluctantly, “yes, the finances for a historical are daunting. Let us see when it happens, for now Aishwarya and Ajay are doing another film (’Samna’) for me.”
