Punjabi movie Yaariyan – an Overview

In the last year UK box office had Punjabi movies retaining the top rank at the box office. The movie Mitti Wajaan Maardi retained the first rank in the charts for many weeks in UK and had huge collections at the UK box office. In the trends many Punjabi movies are being made to be released in India and abroad.

The Punjabi movie Yaariyan is made under the banner Pinky Basrao Films and is expected to release in India on January 18 next year. The movie is basically a musical drama and has top singers from Punjab and Bollywood.

The movie has been produced by Pinky Basrao and directed by Deepak Grewal. The lead cast in the movie is Gurdas Mann, Bhumika Chawla, Om Puri, Gulshan Grover, Okuku Wanyama, Raj Toora, Harjinder Singh, and Asrani. The story of the movie has been written by Deepak Grewal.

The music of the movie is written by Babu Maan, Dev Kohli, Sham Balkan, Onkar, Amardeep Gill, Mohan Nangla and the music has bene composed by Jaidev Kumar, Aadesh Shrivastav, Onkar, Sachin Ahuja. Many popular singers like Gurdas Mann, Sukhwinder Singh, Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik , Sadhana Sargam, Alisha Chinoy, Tarannum and Firoze Khan have been singed to sing for the movie that is basically a musical drama.
