Shaadi Karke… release fixed for November 18

Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty starrer movie ‘Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar‘ which was awaiting release for more than a year has now been fixed for a Nov 18 release, according to its producer Bubby Kent.

Kent feels that the delay is unlikely to affect the prospects of the film and is also ready to cash on the success of recently released Tamil version of the film, starring Madhavan, which got an encouraging response down south. “It is not as if we announced and cancelled the release of the film several times. Whatever people feel, the film will be a fresh one for the audiences,” he says.

Konkona Sen in Deadline

After getting appreciation in Page 3, the National Award winning Konkona Sen will be next seen in Tanveer Khan’s thriller ‘Deadline‘. Irfan who was last seen in Chocolate is another lead chatecter in the film.

‘Deadline’ also stars Sandhya Mridul, Zakir Hussain and Rajit Kapur. Talking about the film Irfan Khan says, “There is a deadline involved in the film. Something has to finish within the deadline. If it does not happen, some families’ lives will change forever,”
Irfan character has some negative shades. He plays a writer who kidnaps Konkona and Rajat Kapoor’s daughter in the movie.

John Abraham to endorse Pepsi

When John Abraham says he doesn’t particularly take care of his appearance or spend hours working out that add to his sex appeal. He is the latest in the line of Bollywood celebrities to endorse Pepsi.

Abraham will be joining the ranks of Shah Rukh Khan, who has been Pepsi’s brand ambassador for a couple of years. At present, the actor is in Malaysia shooting for a commercial for Bombay Dyeing. Some other brands, Abraham has been associated with recently, include Yamaha, Clinic shampoo, Wrangler jeans, Fast-track sun glasses and Samsung mobiles. Any actor endorsing Coke or Pepsi becomes part of the A-list in the ad world and also in Bollywood. For John, yehi hai right choice baby!

Singer Mukesh grandson is Johnny Gadar

Producer Jhamu Sugandh who has mega-hits like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Rangeela to his credit is set to produce his next venture titled Johnny Gadar. The film marks the acting debut of legendary singer Mukesh’s grandson, Neel. Neel’s father Nitin Mukesh was also part of the film industry in the 80’s as a playback singer. Rimmi Sen is the female lead of this film. Directed by Sriram Raghavan (who earlier directed Ek Hasina Thi for Ram Gopal Varma), this film also has veteran actor Dharmendra in it.

Another Salman-Priyanka comedy

After the success of Mujshe Shaadi Karoge, Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra have been signed for another comedy. The movie is titled God Tussi Great Ho! In the film, Priyanka plays a journalist. Anupam Kher also stars in the film.
