Munnabhai competing with Big B

Apna Munnabhai, Sunjay Dutt is going to present a TV program that is titled ‘Mission Ek Crore’. The show will be in competition with KBC that is anchored by Amitabh Bachchan.

Though sources close to Dutt, who is on an overseas trip, are reluctant to confirm this news, they don’t deny it either. Show timings and dates are not confirmed as yet.

The chief operating officer of the television channel thinks the show has loads of potential. “We are constantly in the process of reinventing our shows and truly believe in the power of innovation, so our expectations are very high,” says Purnendu Bose. He thinks Sunjay Dutt is the fittest person to carry it off successfully.

On November 25th people will watch Firoz Nadiadwala’s and Vikram Bhatt directed ‘Deewane Huye Paagal’ but you will also be able to see something interesting.

Cinema viewers might get to see an exclusive trailer of Firoz’s next film ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ (sequel to ‘Hera Pheri’) attached with the print of Deewane Huye Paagal. Phir Hera Pheri is slated for an end of January release.

Taj Mahal releasing November 18

Mughal emperor Shah Jahan’s historic love story ‘Taj Mahal - An Eternal Love Story‘ would be released in India on November 18.

It is directed by Akbar Khan and the film stars Kabir Bedi, Arbaaz Khan, Manisha Koirala, and Pooja Batra. The film introduces the lead pair Zulfikar Syed and Sonya Jehan who play prince Khurram and Mumtaz Mahal respectively. Sonya is the grand-daughter of noted singer-actress Noor Jehan.

Kabir Bedi plays the aged Shah Jehan while Manisha Koirala dons the role of Jehan Ara, daughter of Shah Jehan and mediator between father and son, Aurangzeb, in the bloody power-struggle for the Mughal Empire. Arbaaz Khan is the ruthless Aurangzeb who murders his own brothers and imprisons his father in his lust for power.

Pooja batra is Noor Jehan, the shrewd and ambitious empress while Kim Sharma plays her spoilt daughter from previous marriage.

Sanjay Dutt sings a song in Home Delivery

Sanjay Dutt recently sung and recorded a song for Sujoy Ghosh’s Home Delivery.

Although Sanjay is not featured as the cast of Home Delivery he lent his voice for the film. This creates speculation weather he will make guest appearance in the song that he has sung. The song composed by Vishal-Shekhar is titled ‘Maya’ and interestingly Maya is the name of Mahima Chaudhary’s character in the film that plays a film actress.

Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi in December

Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi makers are taking a sensible decision to release their film in the last week of December as there are a lot of big films releasing this Diwali.

Also December holds a holiday season where they can cash in on the Christmas and New Year vacation period. The film directed by Mahesh Manjrekar stars Sanjay Dutt, Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao in pivotal roles and is a mythological comedy.

Come November and the makers of the film are planning to start promotions in a huge way. The music of the film will release in around the third week of November and the audio launch is again planned as a magnanimous event.
