Manoj (Ajay Devgan) sets out one rainy afternoon to meet his childhood sweetheart niru (Aishwarya Rai) who is a married women. Manoj and Niru’s have a past and their friendship dates back to their days in a village in Bihar. They loved each other but their love did not meet the same fate as lucky few.

Niru lives in Kolkatta. Manoj arrives in Kolkatta not just to seek a job to improve his monetary situation but also with a small hope to meet Niru after six long years. He borrows his friend’s Raincoat to tear his way through the heavy rain to Niru’s house. As the two confront each other once again, their hearts and minds dive in the yesteryears yet surfacing to the reality from time to time. The story softly unfolds a flame of love that could not be extinguished in spite of the time, the distance and the situation…
