Raj Kanwar blasts Ayesha Takia for leaving his project

Raj Kanwar, an established filmmaker alleges that Ayesha Takia only wants to act opposite established stars and that she has no room for second stuff.

Raj Kanwar is particularly infuriated over Ayesha Takia’s stage-out from his production, ‘Jawani Diwani‘. Takia had committed her dates around eight months ago, but suddenly, she developed cold feet and left the project in a huff.

Kanwar reveled, “Ayesha had the main role. But I think she was a bit insecure about the presence of Vivek Oberoi and Bipasha Basu. She wanted to act opposite Vivek but we can’t do that. Bipasha was already there for that role. Maybe she desires to work with only big actors. But it’s not possible to work with actors one desires.”

Takia’s role was that of Bipasha’s younger sister - a fiercely modern collegian, who falls for a fellow student. But Takia on her behalf has a different story to tell and says that she had no dates. “It was getting unnecessarily delayed and I was getting busier. Hence, I decided to leave it,” says Takia.

Jawani Diwani sure has been delayed and Abhay Deol and Tusshar have also turned down the same role, which is a second fiddle to Vivek’s character.

“Yes, the film is not as per schedule because we wanted to shoot it in a specific weather. Now, we will be starting a shooting spell in Christmas, in places like Australia, London and Mumbai,” reasons Kanwar.
