Reality show creates discord in father daughter relationship

The reality dance show hosted by Star Plus called “Aaja Mahi Ve” is based on the concept that the pair winning the dance show will be married by the organizers and this has created discord in father and daughter relationship. Father of the participant Rashmi, who comes form Mohali, Punjab, said that he wanted his daughter to come in the show but he will not like his daugther to marry her dance partner.

Father of Rashmi, P. S. Bedi said that if his daughter married the boy with whom she is doing the dances in the show, father will break relations with daughter. Bedi said that the show is trying to upset the cultural heritage of the country. Rashmi is getting support from her classmates and from one of the friends of her father KJS Pannu, who is DIG in Punjab police.

The reality shows have always created some or the other kind of controversies to generate attention and many tricks are being applied to get votes from the audience whereas many suspect the authenticity of the results of these kinds of shows. Recently a show had participants abusing each other in front of the judges and interestingly the participants of the dance shows are known television actors.

In another show called “Chak De Shehar Di Kudiyan Te Galli De Gunde”, Bipasha Basu appeared during the initial episode of the show and one of the participants said that he was great fan of the actress from his childhood. Bipasha was forced to say “call me Aunty” after the comment. There are so many reality shows on similar concepts that you don’t find uniqueness in these shows to watch them and hence these shows won’t be able to sustain on judge’s harsh comments for long.
