Reality Shows should not be based on kids’ competitions for SMS

The reality shows are mushrooming on Indian television and the shows are favorite of the channels for many reason - firstly, the audience watch these shows for its honesty and reality, secondly, the channels benefits from the advertisements and from SMS’s from audiences for these shows and thirdly the channels need not pay to the top television actors and actresses to perform roles in these shows. The shows are spinning money for the channels and all the channels are racing for these kinds of show.
The question is that how real these reality shows are? The reality shows have been blamed by the loosing participants of being biased towards certain candidates. The top shows like Sony’s Indian Idol, Star’s Voice of India, Zee‘s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa have been suspected for their credibility in results. Like for example: The winning of Ashmeet in the Star Voice of India was unpredictable because the channel had been announcing that Harshit is winning in South, East, West zones and he lost to Ashmeet only in the North Zone. That makes the audience to understand that the families and relatives are voting constantly for the candidate who belonged to North and the win is more based on the money spent by the candidate’s ward. A reality show gets unreal when the results changes for money.
The worst of the reality shows are the shows in which little kids are nearly tortured in the shows for getting a win. All the kids’ participants in these shows are just about equally talented and they are definitely non professional singers .It will require these kids a long time to grow up and get into a profession of singers but both the wards and the show organizers are too harsh on their kids. The judges are worst. Even these shows ask for SMS from audience.
The last reality show based on families that is shown on Zee has been accused of coming up with false families and relations. Now all these will hit the credibility. The shows like Nach Baliye and shows based on professionals, singers and television stars is still justifiable but the other reality shows are loosing audience as they are non justifiable and are promoting false dreams to ambitious participants. In all these the Sony’s show Boogie Woogie and its judges stand out for their genuine ways towards their participants.
