Remakes of movies acted by Amitabh Bachchan

The Shahan- shah of Bollywood - Amitabh Bachchan was at the top of his career in the 70’s decade though like Abhishek Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan also delivered many flop movies in the start of his career but when the things started favoring him, he was at the top of the Industry.

In 70’s there was a time when every movie of Amitabh Bachchan was declared a hit before its release and the audience used to spent their hard earned money to reach theatres every week to view the movie enacted by the star.

In 70’s, Amitabh Bachchan started a new trend of movies that were revolutionary movies having a lot of entertainments and family drama. The romantic heroes of 60’s were replaced by the new star Amitabh Bachchan and the movie script were written for a character that was the one who could alone fight for the poor depressed people and who looked like the common Indian man.

The movies were super hit because the depiction of the powered poor man was hugely praised by the audience. As the trend started the writers were compelled to make script to suit Bachchan’s so formed identity and many of such scripts resembled the Robin Hood kind of drama that was praised by the North Indian belt of Bollywood viewers.

Currently the Bollywood is going through trend in which the movies are being remade from the 70’s hits. The concept of movie making form 70’s is getting adopted and even the costumes and looks are being copied from the previous Bollywood decades. The movies Don, Devdas, Victoria No 203, RGV Ki Sholay etc. are the movies copied from 70’s.

The latest name added to the list of the movie remade from 70’s is Singh is King. Many people are suspecting that the movie is based on the Amitabh Bachchan movie of 70’s Dostana in which Shatrughan Sinha was also in a lead role.

The movie Singh is King is an Anees Bazmee movie in which Akshay Kumar will be playing the role of a sardar and hos role resembles the role of Shatrughan Sinha of Dostana whereas another actor Sonu Sood will play his friend played by Amitabh Bachchan in the 70’s movie Dostana.

The audience can just wait and watch for the movies, be it copied or remade because even copying needs a lots of intelligence (Nakal Ke Liye Bhi Akal Chahiye).
