Ram Gopal Varma said he is not going to make a movie on bloody assault on Mumbai. He said it was mere coincidence to be at the attacks location when Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh reached the 105 year old hotel for inspections. Ram Gopal Varma was criticized for visiting the terror locations and media suspected that he planned to make a film on the attacks.
There was strong response from all sections about the attacks Sharmila Tagore said that the hotel has been the place where she lived when she first came to Mumbai and when it was burning, she felt like her house was burning. Karan Johar accused politicians of being incapable of handling the situation and he said strict actions should be taken against political powers.
Amitabh Bachchan wrote in his blog that he kept a filled revolver under his pillow to feel safe because he couldn’t trust the policemen and he said that he is not preparing to leave India in any case. Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt said that Ram Gopal Varma is a human being like any body else and he went there to check the situation and not to make a movie.
A section of Bollywood is divided over Ram Gopal Varma and Ritiesh’s presence with Chief Minister Deshmukh on terror site. There have been people speaking in favor and against, but the Chief Minister will have to suffer because his city suffered. There shouldn’t be anything said on whom he accompanied or who was with him but the city suffered losses and the politicians should take responsibility for the incidence.
