Rivals compete over International markets

The rival movies Om Shanti Om and Saawariya are not only competing for the Indian markets but both the movies are having rivalry over the overseas markets as well. The movie Om Shanti Om is estimated to beat Chak De India in UK market and Saawariya is among the top 10 movies in New Zealand. In Australia the movie Heyy Babyy was a success and Om Shanti Om is among the top ten movies.

The movies Om Shanti Om and Saawariya are competing to get an edge over the other movies released in the overseas markets that include the movies released in the weekend by Hollywood. The movie Om Shanti Om is performing better than the Tom Cruise movie in UK top listings. In New Zealand Lions for Lambs is at the fourth number in the top listings and Saawariya is at 7th number.

The Farah Khan movie is nowhere in the top ten list and the market is not supporting the Khan movie. The list is being topped by the Hollywood movie The Game Plan in New Zealand. Many say that Om Shanti Om was not released in the New Zealand market and so it is not present in the top 10 listings.

The Shahrukh Khan movie Om Shanti Om is getting praise for being a full entertainment movie though the movie gets slow in the second half. The songs and the performance by the debutant actress Deepika Padukone is also praised in the movie.

The movie is grossing good collections in the UK market that is better then the collections made by the Tom cruise movie Lions for Lambs. The movie is also compared to Chak De India but it is seen that UK market was the only one where Chak De did not perform well.

In Australia the movie Om Shanti Om is doing well and it has occupied the 9th rank in the top ten listings. The movie Saawariya was also released in the Australia market and it has occupied the 16th rank in the top twenty movies list of the week. The Tom Cruise movie Lions for Lambs is the second movie in the top twenty lists and the list is topped by Death at a Funeral Icon.

The Indian market is giving the best results for the two releases in the last week but this time the competition has risen to wider horizon and the Bollywood screen is growing bigger for the movie makers as the audiences are available in all parts of the world for the movies. This is an optimistic note for the Bollywood and as the movie goers for Bollywood movies increases the responsibility of the movie makers amplifies.
