Saif’s Being Cyrus invited for LA film festivals
Homi Adajania dark comedy ‘Being Cyrus’, starring Saif Ali Khan (lead role), Dimple Kapadia and Naseeruddin Shah has been invited to be showcased at Los Angeles film festivals in April.
Previously the film has been showcased in many film festivals (SAIFF in New York, France) and appreciated for its unpredictable plot and well executed drama sequences. Last month it got a super response at an Indian film festival in Israel.
The film will be released in India in March. “People really liked the film in Israel. They gave it a rousing reception,” says Adajania, informing that it was well-received wherever it was shown.
Adajania vehemently denies the film is entirely based on a Parsi family. “This family could be any family. ‘Being Cyrus’ is more of a whodunnit and psychological drama. We have tried to keep it very simple. It’s almost like a chapter in a text book,” explains Adajania.
The producers are planning to release over 125 prints of ‘Being Cyrus’ all across the globe.
