Sequels getting acceptance worldwide

In the year 2007 and 2006 not only in Hollywood but the Bollywood has been talking of sequels successes and making sequels. In Hollywood the year 2007 was exceptionally good for the sequels and even the start of the year 2008 had the sequel getting huge collections at the box office and was made by Hollywood. The movie National Treasure: Book of Secrets just turned out to be a treasure.

The Bollywood is not out of the trend of making sequels and the sequel of Hanuman was released in the year end but the success of movies like new kind comedies and serious stories in the Indian market made it clear that the audience will only accept the serious movie makings.

The sequel of Don is in concept but the controversy over which sequel will be made, either of the 1970’s Don enacted by Amitabh Bachchan or the new Shahrukh Khan, Don The sequel of Dhoom has been a hit in the last year and may be the next gets made soon.

The other popular sequels of Bollywood are the Munna Bhai sequels and Hera Pheri sequels. In the last year the sequel of Heyy Babyy and Aap Ka Surror are under plan.

The last released comedy Welcome of 2007 that made huge collections at the Indian and the international box office is planning to make a sequel.

The movie will kepp the top characters played by Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar that were Uday and Majnu to attract the audience to the theatres. The movie Welcome will be coming with the concept that was present in the Munna Bhai sequels that kept the Munna and Circuit pair in the sequel movie.

The sequels are doing well but the initial movie need to be very powerful to get audience and the movie Welcome could not be compared to Hera Peri or Munna Bhai MBBS that were simply brilliant movies. The maker of the movie Welcome Anees Bazmi is planning the movie sequel and it is expected that by the year 2009 the movie will be made to be released.
