The serial queen Ekta Kapoor is in news for giving a blank cheque to Ram Gopal Verma , not for making any serial on a Saas Bahu subject ,but for making a movie on the serial killer Veerappan. There were rumors that Ekta and Ram Gopal Verma are not getting along from some time but the latest partnership of the two proves that the rumors are incorrect.
It seems Ekta Kapoor decided over handling over the blank cheque to Ram Gopal Verma after watching the promotional of the forthcoming film of Ramu “Sarkaar Raj” and she was immediately impressed by the movie. She said that as per her predictions the movie will be a blockbuster of the year as the movie has the three top stars Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan coming together in a single movie and the script has been handled very well by the director.
After watching the movie “Sarkaar Raj” Ekta decided to produce the movie thought by Ram Gopal Verma who had been planning to make a movie on the life of south India ‘s famous serial killer and smuggler Veerappan. Ram Gopal Verma has made many movies on criminals and smugglers like D-Company, Compnay etc and he can handle the subject easily and Ekta promptly handed over a blank cheque to the director sanctioning to be the part of the proposed movie.
Ram Gopal Verma had earlier depicted the character of Veerappan his movie Jungle in a small part and on being asked about the lead actor for the movie, who will be playing the role of the smuggler, Ram Gopal Verma said that he is undecided and will soon confirm a new face to play the lead character of the movie.
