Shark Tale rules American Box Office
For the third straight weekend at the American Box Office, Shark Tale topped the charts. This was in spite of the fact that two new releases were released widely. Shark Tale, a DreamWorks’ animation movie collected around USD 22 millions. The total collections for the movie have reached an impressive USD 118 millions.
The success of the movie means that DreamWorks have made a place of their own in the animation industry. Their other series Shrek have had mega successes as well. Second place at the box office went to Universal’s Friday Night Lights, which collected USD 12.2 millions.
Of the new releases, Team America: World Police was supposedly going to replace Shark Tale from the top. However, it ends up being third at the collection charts at USD 12.1 millions. Miramax’s Shall We Dance? was fourth with a collection of USD 11.8 millions.
