Shetty is signed to play a dacoit in Umrao Jaan.

Dutta has signed him to play the role of bandit Faiz Ali. Suniel is the third male lead to join the cast after Abhishek Bachchan and Arshad Warsi.

Shetty of course is very happy to work for JP Dutta, “I guess it’s one of the signs of changing times in my life.”

“To work with JP Saab is almost like coming home for me. I can never say no to him. And he can never refuse me a role,” says the actor who has participated in each of the films that constituted Dutta’s war trilogy (Border, Refugee and LOC).

“Now I’m looking forward to seeing what JP does in a costume drama,” adds Suniel.
