Sutherland imprisoned for driving under the influence of alcohol

The actor Kiefer Sutherland was arrested by the police on September 25 for drink – driving and got a sentence to stay in jail for 48 days. The actor immediately surrendered after the hearing.

He has been ordered to complete his jail term before March 30.The actor was driving after having taken twice the amount of alcohol that is permitted legally before driving.

Sutherland had pleaded for no contest in the case and so he was not granted a longer term by the court. If he had not admitted and not entered a plea then he could have got at least one and a half year imprisonment on getting convicted.
