Taare Zameen Par dominated Filmfare -2008

The Aamir Khan’s movie Taare Zameen Par dominated the most prestigious Indian movie award function. Many Filmfare nominations and awards were bagged by the movie based on dyslexic child Taare Zameen Par. The little boy Darsheel Safary bagged the best actor award in the critics section for the movie and the movie also bagged the Best movie, Best Story, Best Director awards.

The Filmfare awards for the year 2008 were also dominated by patriotic movie on sports Chak De India made by debuting director Shimit Amin. The movie Chak De India got the Best Film award in the critic section and it got the Best Action, Best Cinematography and Best Editing award. The movie did not get the Best Dialogue award that it deserved.

The third movie dominating the Filmfare awards functions was Mani Ratnam’s Guru. The movie bagged the Best Music and Best Background score awards. The Best Playback Singer was given away to Shreya Ghosal for the song Barso Re Megha and the Choreographer Saroj Khan bagged the best choreographer award for the dance in the song.
