Teesri Aankh deals with the subject of hidden cameras and how it causes chaos in people’s life. It’s good that director Harry Baweja tried to make a film on the growing pornography and sting operations. But the outcome is nothing to boast of and seems a million times downer if compared from Mahesh Bhatt’s brilliantly made Kalyug that also explored similar subject. The story has so many loopholes and inadequately handled scenes. What ever funds film would be able to cash in, will be through Sunny Deol’s reappearance after a long gap.

ACP Arjun Singh (Sunny Deol) is cracking down on a pornographic racket run by Sudama Pandey (Mukesh Rishi) from London. He runs a racket all over up to India through his trusted henchmen Dinesh (Mukesh Tiwari) and Dinesh (Murli Sharma). These baddies plant hidden cameras in girl’s hostel, changing rooms of shopping malls, honeymoon bedrooms of hotels and blackmail these women to such a degree that fall prey to their ultimate trap - porn movies.

Arjun’s fiancee Sapna (Neha Dhupia) is in London to participate in some beauty pageant but unfortunately ends up getting trapped in ugly game of such a gang. When they come to know that she is ACP’s fiancee they kill her. Ammu (Amisha Patel) a mute girl, an assistant director handling the pageant, witnesses the murder and becomes the next target of the villains.

Now Ammu is being chased by these villains and meanwhile her sister Aarti [Aarti Chabaria] and her partner Ashish [Ashish Chaudhary] too are in lookout for her as she has gone missing. Arjun Singh, who is searching for a lead to bust the porn racket, miraculously discovers that Ammu can be his only luck.

What happens thereafter is quite predictable. Sunny through his similar style of exaggerate action and dishum-dishum protects Amisha, breathes fire over the porn gang and saves the day. But alas somehow could not save the lackluster film!

Harry Baweja has killed a serious subject to pieces which would be good to laugh at. To keep the movie going he has used very childish instances which will fill the movie goer with disgust. Like these-

-When the porn filmmakers secretly film Neha Dhupia while she’s changing in her make-up room and blackmail her, instead of going to the police, or calling her fiance who’s a cop himself, she lets them blackmail her into acting in a porno film.

-Amisha Patel running away from villains stumbles into a nightclub where Jazzy B is performing a Punjabi song. Next, Jazzy is in a trance and Amisha is dancing with him, singing and all! (Hilarious)

-ACP Sunny comes to know about the death of his fiancee very late in the story and he goes into a flashback which shows a dance and his love sequences with Neha Dhupia. Just when the pace of the movie a going fast what’s the point in flashbacks.

-Ammu sister Aarti reaches the scene of crime and saves Amisha from Mukesh Tiwari’s clutches, and how? They are in London and she calls an Indian cop Ayub Khan, instead of calling the London police.

-Later, when Sunny reaches Amisha’s residence (he manage the address so fast! ok Interpol might be helping him?) he is suddenly attacked by Mukesh Rishi’s henchmen (now, how do they get the address?). What follows is bullets frenzy and our macho man Sunny taking on six/seven people all by himself (throw logic in dustbin).

-Now since bullets seems have no effect on Sunny, filmmaker tried everything in the book of stunts. The goons are provided with cars, motorbike spikes, daggers and knives to kill Sunny but obviously they fail. How? Sunny kicks a car and that car goes flying in air to explode some distance away! He controls two speeding bikes with his bare hands!! And they say we don’t have superheroes in Bollywood.

Had enough with these brainless moves? Well I am.

Leaving action scenes, Sunny’s acting is good but not remarkable. Neha Dhupia has a small role but she is looking fine. Aashish Chowdhry and Aarti Chhabria had little to do in the movie. You know! officially Sunny has the guest appearance and they are the lead in the story! (confusing, isn’t it). Now the award for most annoying performance goes to Amisha who although mute, leaves no expression without irritating us. Most of the time she is crying and other times she is trying to look cowered and frazzled. Her over-acting for panic - she gets all animated and breathes heavily. Films cinematography is inconsistent. Music is poor beyond belief. The songs have been just thrust into the film simply because it is needed.

Such a torture.
