Hollywood studios has warned Bollywood movie makers that it will file a suit against the production house ,that tries to make a remake of the Oscar winning film on reverse ageing “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” It was suspected that the proposed film where Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are appearing in the lead roles called “Action Replay” had a script that had reversed ageing script.

On Monday the Hollywood studios send a warning to its Bollywood partners that they will file a copyright violation suit against the studios of Hindi cinema that tries to make use of the concept shown in the movie film “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” The film was nominated in 13 categories in the Oscars. In a few recent media reports it was said that a few Bollywood movies were making films inspired from the reverse ageing script of “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.”

A New Delhi Based law firm said that the production houses who invest in making such a film will have to face lawsuit and in case the movie is made in Hindi or English or any other language, similarity should not be found in script, screenplay or characters or events of the movie. It is suspected that the film “Action Replay” directed by Vipul Shah slated to be released in the month of November has a script that display reverse ageing. The film has Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles and just like Bradd Pitt, Akshay Kumar (it is suspected) is appearing in the role of a man who goes into a reverse ageing process.

Warner Bros previously filed a suit against movie “Hari Puttar” for having a name similar to the film “Harry Potter” and the studios had even lost the case, where the judge said that there was no similarity between the two movies. Some suspect Bollywood industry is growing and its activities are getting noticed in global movie markets, so the movie makers have to be more cautious of not getting into infringement issues.
