The week will witness the releases of the films “Mission Istanbul” and “Money Hai to Honey Hai”. The film “Mission Istanbul” has a new theme and it is an action movie and the film “Money Hai to Honey Hai” is a comedy in which the lead role is played by Govinda .The teenager audiences are spellbound to watch teenage actress Hansika Motwani, who is appearing opposite Govinda in the film and Hansika is looking above her age in the promotional of the film.
The previous week had the release of a romantic comedy “Kismat Konnection” that did not turn out to a huge grosser but the film managed to open with above average start. The film had crowds in multiplexes but the film is not a hit the film is an above average grosser. The film “Kismat Konnection” collected a respectable amount in US box-office.
The Ram Gopal Varma film “Contract “was disliked by audience for the complexity shown in the film and movie got rejected. The film had a poor performance and since it was made in a low budget, the filmmaker may not have made a huge loss.
The earlier releases, the Aamir Khan film “Jaane Tu ..Ya Jaane Na” could make a collection of above 37 crores in the two weeks of its release and the movie that was expected to be a competitors to “Janae Tu ….”, Harman’s debuting film “Love Story 2050” could collect around 12 crores from the sale of tickets .The film “Love Story 2050” was made with a huge investment and it is said to have incurred losses of more than Rs 20 crores.
The two films still in theatres are “Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic,” that grossed Rs 23 crores and the film was made from Rs 20 crores and the film “Mere Baap Pehle Aap” that made the same amount from the sale of tickets at the box-office. The film “Mere Baap Pehle Aap” is said to be making money even in UK box –office.
