This week’s the movie Jodhaa Akbar will be released on Friday. Jodhaa Akbar has almost got delayed by 4 to 5 months from its initial expected date of release for various reasons and before a month of the release of the movie the director Ashutosh Gowarikar got sick to complete it earlier.

The movie Jodha Akbar is in controversies before its release because the movie is based on Rajput stories and the Rajput groups from Rajasthan protested against the story picked up by the director Ashutosh Gowarikar, which is based on the love story of the Rajput princess Jodha and the Mughal Emperor Akbar.

The Rajput groups are saying that the movie is depicting a wrong story because there was no princess called Jodha who married to Akbar instead Akbar’s son married a Rajput princess called Jodha Bai. The fate pf the movie Jodha Akbar will be decided on the Friday in the theatres as the movie is getting promoted for its huge sets and cost incurred in making.

In last week the movies Mithya and Superstar were released. The Northern Indian audience is suffering the cold waves and is resistant to get out of their houses to reach theatres to watch any movie and both the movies Mithya and Superstar did not get more than 20% opening in the major locations in India.

Mithya that was praised by critics for the performance of Ranbir Shourey and direction of Rajat Kapoor got only 10 % of collections at the box-office, as the movie did not have any major attraction to bring people to theatres and Superstar attracted audience through its promotional and it got more opening than Mithya but still not more than 20%.

The earlier releases of the month Sunday, Halla Bol, Rama Ram Kaya Hai Drama are almost finished with their box-offcie collections in theatres. This week’s release Jodha Akbar has many attraction and may be the lessening in cold brings people to theatres to view a huge movie.
