Why Aamir Khan doesn’t visit an award function?

Aamir Khan is one of the most praised movie personality of today’s generation of Bollywood and the actor has been delivering good movies that are based on social subjects, on the subjects of national interest and still his movies are never non commercial or boring. The movie in which the actor either acted or directed is generally based on innovative and social themes and the best things of the movies is that they are entertaining and watched by all age group audience and people with their families.

Some of memorable movies done by the actor Aamir Khan are Sarfarosh, Rang De Basanti, Lagaan and Taare Zameen Par. All these movies are unique and brilliant. The scripts of these movies are written on social awareness subjects and these movies are not boring or categorized into the non commercial sections.

All these movies had been the top office grosser of the year in which it was released. The actor deserves awards for his participation in these movies but surprisingly the actor Aamir Khan is not seen in award ceremonies.

The Nokia Screen Awards of the year 2007 had many awards to the movie Taare Zameen Par but the little Champion Darsheel and Aamir, were missing from the ceremony. Aamir’s non presence in the award function was even made fun on by the host of the show Sajid Khan.

A big photograph of the actor was placed in the front of the stage to mark his presence and only a few members of the cast and crew of the movie Taare Zameen Par were present in the ceremony.

May be Aamir find the ever increasing numbers of awards functions to be not fair in the judgments in giving away the awards and this is felt many times even by the audience that is viewing these award functions. There may be other reasons like getting nervous to collect an award from the stage but this can not be true for Aamir as Aamir is quiet bold on many issues.

But being a part of the Bollywood you need to accept things as it is or get a way out to move things towards betterment. Aamir Khan as a responsible person who is the part of this big industry can’t run away from things.
