Yana Gupta splits with husband

Actress, Model and Item girl Yana Gupta has separated from her husband Satyakam Gupta.

Yana Synkova a.k.a Gupta was born in Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic) and began modelling in the mid-1990s. Her career took a turn toward the east when she married Indian artist Satya Gupta and changed her last name from Synkova to Gupta. In 2001 was named as the new face for Lakme cosmetics in India, replacing former Lakme model Lisa Ray.

She made a dent in Bollywood when she replaced actress Bipasha Basu to do an item number (’Babuji Zara Dheere’) in ‘Dum’ and later ‘Oh What a Babe’ in ‘Rakth’.

The reasons are too personal said Yana and she would not like to speak about them. She however adds that the couple tried talking it over for long but finally decided that it would be best to part ways.
