Bollywood movies are getting scripts from Bollywood itself

Many movies that are getting made and released from Bollywood in the past few months which are similar to each other not in the makings, direction or story but for their background. Many of the movies released in the last months of year 2007 and initial months of 2008 are based in stories from Bollywood Industry itself though some of the controversial topics associated to the Bollywood are still untouched by these movies.

The last months releases in the year 2007 were Khoya Khoya Chand and Showbiz and the movie release in the month of November, Om Shanti Om, all these movies had taken some or the other realities related to he Bollywood and tried to show it to the people. (more…)

Animation movies in Bollywood

There has been increase in the making of animation movies in Bollywood but Indian cinema is not using the advanced techniques and latest trends in animations in its movies and the result is that the final product of the animations movies are not as attractive as we see in the Hollywood movies. The last year many movies having animations were released which included My Friend Ganesha, Return of Hanuman and Taare Zameen Par.

Out of the three movies Taare Zameen Par faired well at the box office but the other two movies did not make the impact on the Bollywood. Return of Hanuman has been a sequel of the movie Hanuman that was released a year ago .The earlier movie Hanuman was not only praised for the story but got a good collection at the box office but the sequel of the same movie did not work on the Bollywood. The earlier version of the movie worked because of the cute looks of Hanuman and the good story of Ramayana but the sequel had repetitive looks and nothing innovative. (more…)

Who is Jodha Bai?

Bollywood has been making movies on the historical characters but many a time the history is not depicted correctly by the movie makers and the audience suspect the story depicted in the movies. Many times in a run to provide entertainment the facts are neglected. Ashutosh Gowarikar will be trying to depict the Mughal Empire in his upcoming movie Jodha-Akbar that will be released in February but the question who Jodha Bai is?

As per historical facts none called Jodha has ever been associated to Mughal king Akbar. The name comes mostly from the Bollywood movies but history admits that a Hindu princess called Hira Kunwari was the wife of Akbar.

In history it is admitted that Mughals who came to India from Mongolia and Turkey fought with the local Hindu Rajput kings and when they were not successful in winning over the king they made relations with the kings and married with their daughters. (more…)

Production houses racing to get movie completed

There are many movies that were expected to be released in the last year but were delayed and they are finally slotted to be released in the initial half of the year 2008.The list includes the movie Sunday, Halla Bol, Woodstack Billa, Jodha Akbar and Race.The movies Sunday and Halla Bol are finalized to be released in the month of January along with the debutant movie My Name is Anthony Gonsalves which is produced by Sahara One Motion Pictures.

My Name is Anthony Gonsalves was a big movie that had Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Pawan Malhotra and Amrita Rao in the lead roles other than the talented debutant Nikhil Diwedi. (more…)

Taare Zameen Par gets standing ovation from overseas audiences

The movie Taare Zameen Par is getting more and more popular amongst the movie goers who are touched by the story of a child who is suffering from dyslexia. The story goes into the psychology of the human beings and almost every audience can identify himself with the story because all who had a great childhood miss the carefree days of childhood as grown ups responsible people. Sequels getting acceptance worldwide

In the year 2007 and 2006 not only in Hollywood but the Bollywood has been talking of sequels successes and making sequels. In Hollywood the year 2007 was exceptionally good for the sequels and even the start of the year 2008 had the sequel getting huge collections at the box office and was made by Hollywood. The movie National Treasure: Book of Secrets just turned out to be a treasure.

The Bollywood is not out of the trend of making sequels and the sequel of Hanuman was released in the year end but the success of movies like new kind comedies and serious stories in the Indian market made it clear that the audience will only accept the serious movie makings. (more…)

The action thriller movie in a slow Race

There has been no promotional and expected release dates for the multi- starrer movie Race but the movie is racing to get completed and be released soon. In the competition to the big budget and huge movies like Jodha Akbar and Subhash Ghai’s Black and White the movie Race is slowly trying to race with the other releases of the year. The movie Race was last expected to get released by October 2007 but the delay in making of the movie has delayed the release of the movie. (more…)
