Kahn dominates the Tax Payers list of Bollywood stars

Shahrukh Khan paid Rs 27 crore tax in advance to the Income Tax department on December 15th and has attained to be the highest Tax payer from the Bollywood. The King of Bollywood showed his earnings to be Rs 100 crore in the current financial Year.

The Bollywood star, who gave two big hits to the Bollywood this year Chak De India and Om Shanti Om, had produced the movie Om Shanti Om and that made him to earn a lot from the highest grosser of the year. (more…)

Aamir success career wise but has disrupted family life

A person who appears successful not necessarily is succeeding in all areas of life and this is true for Aamir Khan who is extremely successful as an actor and now as a director and producer but the disruption in marriage and a remarriage and the accusation from the family makes one to conclude that he is not as successful in his personal life as he is in his work area.

It is not that Aamir did not try to help his family members that included mainly his younger brother Faizal Khan .He made a big budget movie with enacted by Faisal called Mela in which Faisal was promoted to be the lead hero and the movie was a flop. (more…)

Association of cricket captains to the Bollywood girls

Something that is not very new to the Bollywood, there have been many incidents and stories of cricketers getting associated to the glamour girls and later getting settled with the ladies. Both cricket and Bollywood have something in common and that is glamour and money attached to both the professions. It was in 1970’s that for the first time a top Bollywood lady entered into a relation with the cricket captain and though both were from different religion they got married and are settled well.

It is very easy to guess, it is Sharmila Tagore who married cricket captain Nawab Pataudi and their kids are famous stars of Bollywood Saif Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan. It was not only the association of Sharmila Tagore and Pataudi that was a success story of the affair between the cricket captain and a Bollywood star but later the actress Sangeeta Bijlani was famous for her association with the cricket captain Azharuddin and even in this case Bollywood actress Sangeeta married the top cricketer of a different religion. In Bollywood, the date, on which a movie is released are considered to have an effect on the success of a movie. The movies released on a date that sums to a number 8 are considered to be unlucky like 17th, 8th, 26 are not considered to be lucky dates for a movie release. The movie makers and actors have lots of other beliefs like a lucky mascot in a movie. Earlier it was considered that Ajay Devgan’s presence makes a movie succeed and same way today Shahrukh Khan and Katerina Kaif are considered to a lucky for movies and few others are considered to be unlucky for their presence in a movie. The most prominent couple that was talked throughout the year has been Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. Kareena Kapoor had been in relation with Shahid Kapoor from some 3 to 4 years and the two were expected to be stable couple in Bollywood but the couple broke off in the September month of the year 2007 and the movie Jab We Met that starred the two stars together was released in October .The break in relations did not effect the movie performance at the box –office and the movie fared really well. After the shooting of Jodha- Akbar is completed, there are other movies are being shot in Rajasthan. The autobiographical movie by Rakeysh Mehra that has the lead cast Sonam Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan was being shot in Jaisalmer and another movie Victory is also being shot in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

Friday releases not to effect Box office giants

Last week two movies were released and the two were Showbiz and Return of Hanuman. Though the movie Showbiz is a Bhatt movie, the movie has debuting cast and a story that is not getting too many viewers. After the December month only one movie can be said to show an increase in the collections it is making at the box –office and the movie is Taare Zameen Par.
