The film “Aa Dekhen Zara” is a science fiction, a thriller where a camera predicts future and life of a young couple is captured by the camera and later it is also controlled by the camera. Neil Nitin Mukesh has taken up another thriller after “Johnny Gaddar” and the movie proves to be perfect for his image. Bipasha Basu as a dusky beauty opposite Neil and she is also impressive in the movie.

The film has a predictable story as many movies in the last decades have been made where a criminal is glorified and it was termed that he changed from a terrible man to a nice person because he found the love of his life.

“Firaaq” has been made on communal riots taking the Godhara incident as base and the film depicts six different stories of people of different class and society who suffer losses of relations, property and much more, during the riot. Every time when there is a crisis in society or a riot happens or militant attack takes place or a war, anywhere in any part of the world, people have to face similar events, the minority or the less equipped group has to suffer.

“Straight” generates a few laughs as it depicts a shy man Pinu of above 30 confused over his sexual orientation. The movie depicts a man owning a restaurant in London who is professionally settled and single. He hires two employees in his restaurant, a girl and a boy and the three become good friends. Pinu is unsure if he is attracted to the girl in his restaurant or to the boy.

‘Aloo Chat’ takes recipes from NRI Punjabi family dramas depicted in various movies of Karan Johar and Yash Raj Banner and shows the same with a little change. These kinds of Punjabi NRI family dramas got praises mostly in previous decade but in the last few years these are not getting the same attention although the comedy part of the movie can not be neglected. Actress Linda Arsenio impresses from her role of a forced detested foreigner bahu into a conventional Punjabi family. The romantic songs of the film are impressive and a few songs are choreographed well.
