Music Review: Don Muthuswami

The music of the comic action movie of Mithun Chakraborty “Don Muthuswami” has been composed by Anu Malik. Though there are total six songs in the album but it can be counted to be three songs and other are repeated versions and dialogues. Anu Malik tried to makes new but less number of songs for the album. Debutant singers have been called in to give voice to a few songs and that is refreshing element in the album.

“I Love You” –The song “I Love You” is refreshing as the singers Emon Chatterjee and Deepali (the participants of Indian Idol) have been called in to give voice to the song. The light guitar sound and violin works like magic.

Music Review: Hastey Hastey

The music of the comedy movie “Hastey Hastey” has been composed by Anu Malik and lyrics have been written by Sameer. The songs of the movie are not fresh ones and the movie songs are not even matching the theme of comedy of the movie.

“Hastey Hastey”-A new singer Shiv Ram Kumar and Sunidhi Chauhan get together for the title track of the movie and the song is just not impressive.

Music Review: Dasvatharam

Unexpectedly it is Himesh Reshammiya who composed the music for the Kamal Hassan’s movie “Dasvatharam” and Himesh changes his style to match the need of the subject of the movie that shows Kamal in ten different human forms.

“Koi Tumsa (Come Dance with Me)”-This is Indian classical kind of song with rock music, a rare combination of Tabla –Sarangi and disco beats can be heard in the song. The song has been written by Sameer and sung by Vineet.

Music Review: Woodstock Villa

Anu Malik has composed the music of the movie “Woodstock Villa” and the movie being a suspense thriller has complete arrangements for energized music. After getting a series of dull albums in the last few weeks this one comes out to impress audiences.

“Dhoka” –The song has been sung by Aanchal Dutt and it maintains the style of being a seductive fear thrill song that has been perfectly matched by the lyrics. The song has been shot on debutant Neha Uberoi, who is playing the lead role in the movie.

Music Review: Mr. Black Mr. White

The movie Mr. Black Mr. White is a comedy flick similar to the Suniel Shetty’s movie Gopi Kishan in which Suniel had played a double role and the movie Mr. Black Mr. White is directed by Deepak Shivdasani. The movie is expected to be released on second of May and the music of the movie has been composed by Shamir Tandon, Tauseef Akhtar, Jatin Pandit, Lalit Pandit.

The songs of the movie are:

“Behna Ki Shaadi”-The song is a celebration song in Indian context as the marriage celebrations are being carried out. The song has been sung by Sonu Nigam and the song has been composed by Tausif Akhtar. A new singer Shailendra too has been added in the singers list but the song lacks the entertainment and energy of a festival.

Music Review: Anamika (2008)

The movie “Anamika” is directed by Anant Mahadevan and music of the movie has been composed by Anu Malik. The lyrics of the songs are of Sameer and the movie stars Dino Morea, Minissha Lamba, Koena Mitra and Aarti Chhabria in lead roles. The movie is a suspense thriller.

Aashiqui –Shaan’s voice in the romantic song “Aashiqui” makes the song entertaining and the background of the song has the rock music touch. The song has been written by Sameer and has a kind of beats that are not all western and the effect is not marking enough to make the song reach charts .The outcome of the song is mediocre.
