The black and white magic movie of yesteryear having exceptionally brilliant performance by Dilip Kumar and Vaijyantimala can be seen in the movie. Jodha Akbar release date

Director of the movie Jodha-Akbar ,Ashutosh Gowariker has finally announced the release date of the movie to be October 12.

He says the release date coincides with Eid and it is the festival time when audiences go to the theatres. Movie leads include Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Bachchan.

The remake of old blockbuster is today’s trend. Now the movie by BR films are adopting the formula of coloring their black and white hit movie Naya Daur in new colors and the movie is going to be released soon.

Paheli to release around May end

Shah Rukh Khan’s home production ‘Paheli’, directed by Amol Palekar, is set in the 16th century. It is likely to make the audience feel transported back to the ancient times for sure. Those who were witness to the films shooting on the set of a ‘haveli’ at Film City, were just mesmerised by the ambience.

The set was bathed in skin shade and the set had those ancient kind of lanterns at every nook and corner. It seemed that the set was lit only by such vintage lamps. So ethereal. One just marvelled at cinematographer Ravi. K Chandran’s esoteric sense of lighting. For everyone present, it was a ‘Paheli’ of how such a magical ambience could be created.

The entire shooting of the film will conclude on April 4th and the film will be released on 31st May or 1st week of June.

Tango Charlie April 15 release may be postponed

Rumours are rife that ‘Tango Charlie’ may have some new distributors or in extreme case may even be postponed , as in some territories (specially East Punjab and Delhi-U.P.) , the distributors are keen on an April release date because Indo-Pak cricket and board exams (in many states) have resulted in pathetic openings/collections for many of the new releases post ‘Bewafaa’.

A representative of the Delhi-U.P. distributor was in Bombay on March 11 to discuss the matters but a final solution could not be arrived at . ‘Tango Charlie’ is scheduled to release on March 25 and with the producer sticking to his guns , there are bound to be some interesting developments .

Meanwhile Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘D’ (a prequel to ‘Campany’) , has a tentative release date of April 15 along with ‘Mere Jeevan Saathi’.
