Meera is at ease with Bold Movies

Pakistani actress Meera who stars in Nazar says she is at ease with bold themes like ‘Nazar’, ‘Murder’ and ‘Jism’ because “they reflect contemporary reality”.

When asked in an interview whether she preferred Indian classic Mughal-e-Azam or last year’s release ‘Murder’, Meera was clear in her choice.

“I have really liked bold themes like Jism and ‘Murder’ and if I were to choose between Mughal-e-Azam and these two movies, I would prefer Jism and ‘Murder’, as they reflect contemporary reality,” Meera said.

Meera is in India to promote her forthcoming movie Nazar which releases on May 20. (more…)

Soni Razdan may delete the kissing scene in Movie Nazar

Actor-turned-director Soni Razdan’s directorial debut is ‘Nazar’.

She claims that the movie is a joint Indo-Pak production aiming at improving the relations between the two countries. She regrets that the movie has become controversial even before its release in both the countries. Pakistani hardliners are agitated over a kissing scene picturised on Pak actress Meera and Indian actor Ashmit Patel.

They don’t like a kissing scene between the followers of two different religions–Islam and Hindu. In India, the controversy has arisen because Soni Razdan has associated the movie with the agitating bar girls who had been recently thrown out of employment following the ban on beer bars in Mumbai.

Emraan Hashmi to kiss Tanushree Dutta

Smooch specialist Emraan Hashmi, better known for his hot-blooded kisses in ‘Tumsa Nahin Dekha’, ‘Zeher’ and ‘Murder’, will now do the needful to ex-Miss India Tanushree Dutta in one of his forthcoming films, to be produced by an NRI company.

Tanushree has also been signed up in the Ashmit Patel-Riya Sen-Ashish Chaudhary starrer ‘Rokda’, being directed by Ramu’s ex-assistant, Ramesh Khatkar and for a Suniel Shetty-Arshad Warsi starrer called ‘Chocolate’.
