Bipasha Basu has long retured from Brazil where she shot for Dhoom 2 with Hrithik Roshan, Uday Chopra and Aishwarya Rai but the sexy beauty can’t stop raving about the her trip to the place always high on sun, sea and sights.

Bipasha said, “It was great fun! This was the first Hindi film (Dhoom 2) to be shot there and Brazil is a fun place. Uday has stayed back for a holiday. We all had a blast and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.”

The actress also told that since she looked like a local there, she blended in with the Brazilians. She said, “one day, I was sitting in a front of a shop in Rio, and someone, thinking I was a local, started asking me the price of stuff. It’s just that I couldn’t speak the local language, Portuguese.” (more…)

Actress Aishwarya Rai is going very hard on herself these days. Her tight schedule and bad weather conditions in Rio de Janeiro where she was shooting for Dhoom 2 literally left her speechless. She has now been diagnosed with laryngitis.

Aishwarya said, “I can barely speak. Though my voice is getting better, it will take some time for it to get back to normal.” The infection has even made the actress postpone the shoot for J.P. Dutta’s Umrao Jaan in Lucknow.

For now, the actress is yet recovering from the overwhelming response she received at Melbourne. Ash undertook a 34-hour journey from Brazil, where she was shooting for Dhoom 2 to represent India at a performance with other actors at the Commonwealth Games finale. (more…)

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan has become a proud father to a baby boy (28th March). His wife Suzanne gave birth to the baby at Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital at 3:30 pm on Tuesday.

Hrithik, who was shooting for Dhoom 2 - the much-awaited Yashraj films production in Rio De Janeiro, had taken a break to be back home on March 21 to be with Suzanne.

Hrithik hopes his son grows up to be brawn (from himself) and beautiful (from his mother).

Ashutosh Gowariker’s (Lagaan, Swadesh) period film Jodha-Akbar, starring Hrithik Roshan as Emperor Akbar and Aishwarya Rai as Jodhabhai, will mainly focus on Hrithik-Aishwarya romance. The movie is said to be a romantic musical.

The script of the film has been finalized and Ashutosh is now consulting eminent historians to ensure that his film is historically accurate. In a way Jodha-Akbar will be prequel to blockbuster Mughal-e-Azam.

The story will start with a young Akba-r-e-Azam (Akbar), son of Mughal Emperor Humayun who ascends the throne of India at the young age of 13. How he becomes a great ruler of a big empire and his romance and subsequently marriage with Rajput princess Jodhabhai will be depicted in the movie. Remember Karan of Rang De Basanti, the careless, spoilt rich brat, who around climax of the story takes an extreme step by killing his own father to avenge the death of his best friend. Then again in the ending he and DJ (played by Aamir) die bravely, playfully. The powerful role was played by South actor, Siddharth and exceptionally well too.
